My toy soldiers

Not historic, but a lot of fun.

This page is just for fun. It's fun things I do related to the Civil War, but it is not really historically accurate and it's not suppose to be. You can have fun and be a kid and still like the Civil War.  We just have to make sure we learn the true history so we don't get it wrong in the future.  Still, we're kids to have fun.

It is ok to imagine and pretend you are at the battle. Remember though you shouldn't scream and holler or climb on the ramparts, trenches, fences or cannons. These are special places and we should take care of them, but that doesn't mean it can't be fun.

These are some of the battles I have created with my Civil War Toy soldiers.  I like the plastic ones because you can actually play with them. They make some really nice, realistic ones, but they are very expensive and I worry I will break them. I only have a few of those.  Some advice. If you get a bunch of soldiers it is better to play outside with them, but you have to clean them off.  My mom likes it better outside than all across the living room like some of the pictures. It's more fun outside too, because you can build trenches and it looks more like a battle. Dad is making me put this on here:  Always pick-up your toys when you are done. Stepping on a plastic soldier hurts.

Even though this is my fun page, we still need to protect history.
